Static Dread: The Submarine DLC
Soundtrack, art, and a supporter pack. None of them weld the hull for you.
Static Dread: The Submarine’s story is in the base game. Steam still sells three add-ons that launched beside the 14 August 2026 retail build. This page is the extras list so you do not buy a soundtrack expecting a new ending. For price and the introductory discount window, use Launch Notes. For hotfixes, use patch notes.
The boat remains single-player. DLC does not add a second player, Roblox codes, or The Lighthouse nuclear radio puzzle. Anthology bundles that include The Lighthouse still start this file from zero.
What Steam actually sells
Store DLC page for app 4042160 lists three items, all dated 14 August 2026:
- Original Soundtrack — “Dive into the eerie atmosphere of the deep.” Music only. It will not classify a whale for you. If you already liked the valves and the sonar sting in reviews, this is the extra that matches that praise.
- Digital Art Collection — art by Evgeniya Yegorova and Kseniya Teplukhina (Steam’s own wording, including the typo in “Сollection”). Stills and concept. Not a new deck on the Ares.
- Supporter Pack — “A new delivery has arrived aboard the submarine — the Special Item Set for Special Sponsors.” Cosmetic / sponsor items. It is not a difficulty slider and it is not Dream Team in a crate.
Deluxe language on the base store grouped those extras. You can buy them separately. You can skip all three and still shoot or spare Timmy, still sit sonar, still fail a drone watch.
What extras never change
- Reactor countdown, hull leaks, and roster size.
- The 45 Steam achievements — list on achievements.
- Ending flags — endings guide and crew fates.
- Collectible toys already in the hull (figurine, jukebox, coffee, fish, darts, Dread Invaders). Those are base-game hunts on collectibles.
- Languages. Steam’s base table already includes English audio, Korean audio, and interface languages such as French, German, and Spanish. DLC does not unlock a missing subtitle pack.
If a store screenshot of the supporter pack looks like a new console, check in-game before you assume a mechanic. Launch-week hotfixes already had to stop people interacting with objects that should not have been interactable. Cosmetics should not become puzzles. If one does, that is a bug for patch notes, not a secret ending.
Should you buy them on launch week?
Buy the soundtrack if the Ares’ sound is why you stayed. Buy the art if you want the PSX-leaning characters off the 3,000-polygon meshes the animation post described. Buy the supporter pack if you want to fund solarsuit.games after a 3–4 hour first watch. Skip all three if you are still deciding whether the story lands — that decision belongs to the review and one credits sequence, not a deluxe bundle.
The introductory 20% off the base game (example $11.99 → $9.59, window through late August 2026) is a base-game sale, not a DLC coupon. Check Steam for whether add-ons share the discount. This wiki will not invent a percentage for the soundtrack.
GOG is the DRM-free twin of the base game. Confirm on GOG whether soundtrack or art is bundled there; do not assume Steam’s three-row DLC list is mirrored.
Bundles with The Lighthouse
Anthology or franchise bundles exist so storefronts can sell both Static Dread titles together. They do not import Night 15 warhead codes, frequency 18.9, or any other Lighthouse puzzle into the Ares. If a search result tells you to punch 74-20-73 into a Submarine console, you opened the wrong wiki. Come back to Getting Started and the Ares map.
After you own extras
Play the watch. Staff Kelly, Zack, Sharon, and Michael. Save on a hull console. Launch the drone when the plate will not weld from inside. Then, if you still want merch in your library, download the OST while the credits roll. The North Atlantic does not grade your DLC folder.
For hardware, system requirements still win over a supporter crate. For a second ending, the Walkthrough Hub still wins over concept art. For whether the extras are “worth it,” only you know if you already loved the boat enough to sit a second file.
Frequently Asked Questions
